Lucy Lawless is a well-known performer and actress from New Zealand. She's most popularly recognized in her craft for her notable roles on various top-billed television films and series, including Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena as well as Spartacus: The Vengeance. The actress was highly praised and remembered particularly for her performance as Xena. Lucy performed the role initially intended to be played by Vanessa Angel. She was unfit to go to the filming due to health issues. Lucy's performance as Xena was so successful that a sequel series was produced in 1995. Lucy's fame as an actress grew after this spin-off. The show was a massive success in terms of both ratings and culture.
